FD Distributors Online Ordering e-commerce application allows account holding customers access to the full range of products and place orders online. They are able to order any time of the day and select their delivery date.
Technology
Built on the RemoteShop framework using the latest in JavaScript technology. The frontend uses ReactJS and SailsJS for the backend. The API layer connects to Syspro via direct MS SQL commands and Syspro’s built-in business objects. The data is synchronised to a local MongoDB storage for fast data processing and on some occasions the data is queried live.
How it works
The application functions like a normal online shop with a product search and filter tool, add to cart and checkout to place the orders. What is unique about this e-commerce application is that it synchronises client, product and pricing structure directly from SysPro, their ERP solution of choice.
Orders are placed online and they automatically synchronise to SysPro where the sales team conducts a final check before releasing it to dispatch.
The system also allows Fisherman’s Deli to advertise partnering products on their site which are available for customers to order. Items such as butter, bread, meat, cheese, tin goods and even ice cream.
